Hello,
Sorry for limited activity but life is nuts. Plus I just got a head cold so
I remained on campus at my college for research this summer so I am living in Boston. So I had to do the whole moving thing and the whole grocery shopping thing and cooking thing (but I love cooking it's so great)! Regardless, I am finally settled and have found a schedule to fall into. I'll be working 40 hours a week in my lab and I've got a band gig to pay for housing but regardless I have located the pockets of time I have to breatheeeeee.
I am also a new NOAA Hollings scholar, so I had to spend a week in DC for the program's orientation and that was a lot.
I had to say goodbye to my 6 (would have been 7 in August) year old Betta fish last Friday
He got dropsy and with his age the salt treatment would have killed him anyway so I had to put him down. He's in my apartment's freezer... Still trying to think up a proper send-off (Viking funeral in the Charles River?)
I have 2 NEW betta fish though! NOAA and Von who are sitting on my desk in their planted 4-gallon nano aquariums. They're both such characters and I love them. Would you guys be interested in photos? Haha, what's a camera?
As for writing:
1) I need to write a least 3 hours a week for my manuscript else I have to put money in our "Pot-o-Writing" jar in my lab. And I am an undergrad so I don't have money to be losing.
2) Yes, I am still writing for fun, but most recently has been on paper since I have been so busy. Regardless, the ends of my two multi-part works are both in the process of being polished up and I am excited to start new projects.
